"This course surveys the foundational principles from which studio art and illustration are constructed. Various art topics will be introduced by means of drawing, a core visual communication skill. Both knowledge and skill development will be emphasized in this course."

Form

To learn the concept of form we copied example drawings and applied aspects like rendering halftones, identifying the core shadow, adding highlights, and rendering to build form and define value

Value

To define value we copied example drawings to show elements like shadow shapes, contrast between light and dark, edges which disappear into larger shadow shape, tone, and the elements of grouping and simplifying

Perspective drawings

For my one point perspective sketch I drew a simple waiting room with a table and two windows

For my two point perspective I drew a quick simple farmhouse with a one car garage
